Matt Lopez is a cutting horse trainer who resides on his ranch in Keldron, SD. He enjoys Cutting Horse Training as well as giving Cutting Lessons and coaching youth, high school rodeo kids and amatuers all about cutting, allowing them to successfully compete in NCHA, NHSRA, and Cutting Horse shows and jackpots.

Matt is a Buster Welch protégé` having worked for Buster for three years. Matt's NCHA Earnings are in excess of $35,887. Competing on horses such as Hunkey Tonk, Two Timin Freckles, Senor Bar Peppy, Dolly's HT Peppy, Freckles Mr Mac, IBN Powder River, Gay Bar Gill, MRA Freckles Gal, Chex R Smartest, and Shilo Dawn. In the year 2001 Matt received the SDCHA Champion High Point Rider buckle.
