Strongheart Angus is a division of Lopez Ranch. We are long time breeders of Angus Cattle and sell the cattle private treaty or at Faith Livestock in Faith, SD. These cattle are selected to be the highest quality and best producing cattle in the area. Our goal at Strongheart Angus is to produce a feeder calf that will pack a top quality rib eye with a maximum feed to weight gain ratio, giving our customers a quicker return on a finished critter.
Our cow battery consists of the bloodlines such as Leachman Right Time, and TC Stockman. These cattle have to make a living on the range where in the winter time they need a thick hide and a lot of hair.

Bulls selected and consistently used are sons of SAV Final Answer 0035, SAV Free Spirit 8164, KCF Bennet Total, Bon View New Design, and New Frontier. In today’s market the concept of progressive genetics remains at the forefront of our breeding program.
One of the things that sticks in my mind coming from the world of horses is to watch what the professionals are doing. I believe with a planned breeding program we can ride out any storm in the cattle business by doing what the pro’s do.
